Old Place, New Food
The oldest restaurant still grilling steaks and pouring martinis in Hollywood is Musso and Frank Grill on Hollywood Boulevard. Anywhere you sit in the restaurant you can conjure images of world famous celebrity butts having been in that exact seat sometime in the past 95 years, enjoying fine grilled meats and seafood and mouthwatering cocktails. Sure, the cigarette smoke is gone, and the glamour is somewhat patinaed, and yes, the waitstaff has aged, but this is a restaurant for the ages and a must see whenever you tour Los Angeles and Hollywood.

A Star is Born (No. 2,460)

Joining his band mates on the sidewalk in front of their old U.S. recording studio haunt, Capitol Records, Sir Paul McCartney gets the 2,460th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ringo, under the weather that Thursday, was unable to attend, however Neil Young made some poignant observations about the still influential singer/songwriter/musician and the large audience in attendance was thrilled. Why not visit the Beatles’ stars during a Hollywood Celebrity tour to really feel connected to the people whose songs you hum every day.
Yes I Can at CAAM
Since 1976 February has been recognized as Black History Month. What better way to focus a special tour of Los Angeles than by visiting locations and sites important in southern California history. From art galleries and public sculptures to music venues and celebrity homes to more haunting locations Los Angeles is as important to the African American experience as any U.S. city. A great place to begin is the California African American Museum in Exposition Park. Through art the history is illuminated for all visitors.
