Lie Down, Toto. Good Dog!
Our Private Tour Kids in Hollywood Love Toto’s Memorial
Believe it or not we spend a great deal of time at cemeteries while traveling around Hollywood on our private Los Angeles tour. Our guests certainly enjoy seeing celebrity homes and mansions in Beverly Hills and Bel Air, but they also want to see where the old celebrities are now. Terry, the Cairn Terrier who played Toto in The Wizard of Oz back in 1939, found her “forever” home at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, right behind Paramount Studios. Originally buried on her owner’s Studio City ranch back in 1945, the construction of the Ventura Freeway destroyed her gravesite. With a ceremony that included Robert Baum, the grandson of Frank Baum who authored the beloved book, Terry was placed in this grand memorial park with many of the movies’ greatest stars – right where she belongs. There’s no place like home.
