On a Clear Day in Los Angeles There is Catalina Island
Private Los Angeles Tour Enjoys a Typical Clear Hollywood Day
It is a dry heat they say but it really does provide our private luxury tour guests with the opportunity to enjoy lovely clear days throughout the year despite the city’s proximity to a cold Pacific Ocean. Maybe it is the recession and sequester and partial government shutdown, maybe it’s climate change and maybe it’s just cleaner fuels and cleaner fuel burning engines, the result is many many more crystal clear days throughout the year. No smog, less fog – as soon as the daytime temperatures decline we can see forever. And it is beautiful. Our guide sent us this photo the other day of Catalina Island, rising from the Pacific Ocean off the Los Angeles coast and south of the Hollywood Sign (about 35 miles as the sea gull flies) where this photograph was taken. That’s the Lake Hollywood Dam in the foreground sitting just below the Hollywood Sign.
