Celebrate Craftsman Weekend in Pasadena
Take Our Private Los Angeles Tour to a Craftsman Tour in Pasadena
So many of our luxury tour guests express deep interest in architecture and design knowing how many remarkable structures are present in and around Los Angeles, Hollywood and Beverly Hills, our prime touring neighborhoods. We always remind them of the importance of Pasadena and its contributions to the aesthetics and historicity of American architecture and design. This weekend Pasadena Heritage once again opens up distinguished homes and exhibitions of that particular style of construction that this city just north of downtown Los Angeles is so famous for: Arts and Crafts architecture, better known here as Craftsman-style. The Bolton House (pictured) was completed in 1906 and is a prime example from Greene & Greene, brothers famous worldwide for their designs and the resulting structures. While the Gamble House, a familiar Greene & Greene residence, is now a museum and open for visiting throughout the year, the Bolton House and other notable homes are only rarely available to see up close. This is the weekend to explore some of these amazing buildings. Three days (Friday – Sunday) of guided tours, walking tours, open houses, exhibits and expositions should allow everyone a chance and a good reason to visit Pasadena and see why so many commercials and establishing shots in movies and television are filmed here.
