Traveling No Pants on Metro Los Angeles
Underwear on the Underground in Los Angeles
In fact, the No Pants on the Subway Day celebration now in its 13th year, is a worldwide phenomenon and not limited to Los Angeles at all. Public transportation riders in major cities around the globe with subway and trolley systems are tickled and surprised to see passengers comfortably boarding trains and not wearing pants. Originally attended in 2002 by seven fun loving New Yorkers, members of Improv Everywhere, they had no idea that their wacky bit of spontaneous theater would catch on as it has. New York expects more than 4,000 participants this year with large numbers of bare legged ladies and gentlemen riding the city rails in over 60 cities. Our private Los Angeles tour taking a close look at Pasadena‘s Gold Line got caught up in the fashion of the day. It is nice to always be out there with a high quality digital SLR to take serious photographs of mass transit passengers.
