We Do The Heavy Lifting on a Private Los Angeles Tour
Make MUSCLE BEACH a Destination on
Everyone on any Los Angeles tour that we do will likely get to see the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Rockwalk. Not everyone gives us a chance to show them the Muscle Beach Hall of Fame located along the Venice Beach Boardwalk. Back in the early days of Venice when Abbott Kinney, its founder and principal architect, was admiring his efforts this area of the beach attracted body builders of the day in full body swimwear using free weights. Historic photos shows pyramids of strong men and other acrobatic formations in the sand. Over time the area became a destination for nearly naked body sculptors from around the world including our former governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Beginning in 2003 the best were inducted into the Muscle Beach Venice Bodybuilding Hall of Fame. In 2007 plaques were embedded around the “weight pen” for visitors to admire while they watched the athletes work out. Besides the governor most will recognize the names of Jack LaLanne, Lou Ferrigno and Mickey Hargitay (Mariska Hargitay‘s father).
