Flags Unfurl at Beverly Hills City Hall
Our Luxury Tour Guests Impressed by
Beverly Hills City Hall
It is an undeniably beautiful building which is one of the many reasons it has been used in so many movies and television shows, commercials and print ads over the years. The William Gage building erected in 1932 was representative of government buildings of the time in its basic design but the addition of the blue tiles to the tower cupola and the gold decorations elevated the civic structure to iconic status. There is no controversy around the flags at this government building: the California state flag, the Beverly Hills city flag and the Stars and Stripes. The stairway leads up from busy Santa Monica Boulevard and the park-like grounds. In fact, a park area stretches along the opposite side of the thoroughfare so it is easy to admire the Beverly Hills City Hall from a number of angles at various distances. We guide our private Los Angeles tour visitors all around the building and through the city park to talk about the origins of this world class yet tiny city, its people and culture. While Nick Nolte might have been Down and Out in Beverly Hills our guests breathe deeply of the history and success of this miniature Los Angeles enclave just down the Sunset Strip from the glitter of Hollywood.
