Coucou, Chateau Marmont!
The Chateau Marmont Lures Our
Private Tour Guests
No matter what means of transportation we are using to get between Hollywood and Beverly Hills we pass close by the beautiful Chateau Marmont hotel on the Sunset Strip. This French Gothic structure constructed in 1929 drew its inspired design from a Loire Valley estate built in the first millennium. Originally conceived to be an apartment building the business model was untenable when opened and the business soon was sold and refashioned as a hotel – a very successful hotel (location, location, location). With a bar and restaurant that attracts the Entourage crowd it is as much a place to go today as it has been throughout its time in W. Hollywood. We have terrific stories about goings on throughout the hotel’s history to entertain our private Los Angeles tour guests as we drive by or fly over the white tower rising over Sunset Boulevard. Even better, we can stop in and enjoy a quick drink with the beautiful people populating Bar Marmont. For those of you curious about the enterprise on Sunset Boulevard right in front of the Chateau Marmont, that was once Miyagi’s and is now the Pink Taco.
An interesting note about the Chateau Marmont is that it was originally built to be earthquake proof and has proved to be so through a number of damaging earthquakes in the area since its construction. If you feel the earth move under your feet head right over to Bar Marmont!
