Hollywood Has a Downtown Below Our Helicopter
Hollywood is Quite the Town as
Our Private Tour Learns
Hurray for Hollywood which is today a bustling district in Los Angeles. After some not so heady times over several decades the angels of redevelopment and repurposing are creating a vibrant and exciting neighborhood where a hundred years ago the first movie studios were cranking out films for an audience just discovering the magic of the silver screen. Hollywood Boulevard a century ago had only just been renamed from Prospect Avenue. There was a streetcar line carrying local residents and a new group of visitors, tourists, coming to see where movies were made. The streetcar line is now an underground subway and the visitors to Hollywood some days seem to outnumber the locals. We are pleased to know all the ins and outs, nooks and crannies of this area, its hotels, restaurants and attractions, so that we can provide our guests with the best custom luxury sightseeing tour of Los Angeles available. For instance, this photograph was taken by us on a combination helicopter and ground tour. We pointed out the highlights of this part of Hollywood first from the air (Capitol Records, the W Hotel, the Pantages Theater, the Redbury) and then after our flight returned in the SUV to explore this very important part of Hollywood (Hollywood and Vine) more closely.
