Michael Jackson is Back in Hollywood
The Stars Come Out for Our
Private Tour in Hollywood
Jovan Rameau is a hardworking immigrant from Haiti who is making excellent use of his good looks and remarkable resemblance to Michael Jackson. He invested in some appropriate costuming and hairstyling and is now ready for us to enjoy his presence on the Hollywood Walk of Fame where he haunts the embedded star of the “Gloved One” in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater. Jovan poses for photographs with the multitude of Michael Jackson fans circling the entertainer’s star in the famed sidewalk…for a little bit of money ($5). We have our own MJ enthusiasts on a private Los Angeles tour often enough that we feel we have invested in good faith in Jovan’s livelihood. Like many of the acts, performers, costumed creatures and lookalikes that haunt this part of Hollywood so near historic landmarks and movie palaces of yesteryear, we have come to know him personally. We learned that Rameau is taking his earnings and working on an autobiographical theatrical production of how he made money as a Michael Jackson lookalike to create an autobiographical theatrical production. Our head is spinning from the recursion here almost as much as watching Michael Jackson (or Jovan Rameau) spin to pop music.
