Hollywood – A Different View
High Above Highland with Our Private Tour in Hollywood
The Hollywood and Highland Center is a big place. City block big. Monumentally big. As big as the epic silent movie set from which much of the mall’s design is drawn. The fact that it is large means there are many places to eat, drink, shop and find something entertaining to do. From the central fountain to the Road to Hollywood it is a place within a place, a center of Hollywood. Being a tall structure means there are viewpoints in several locations providing perspectives of different parts of Hollywood. This photograph taken on a recent private tour of Los Angeles shows the Hollywood Sign glowing over the snaking part of Highland Avenue as it comes down from the hills, past the Hollywood Bowl and is just about to cross Hollywood Boulevard and the Walk of Fame just to the right of the edge of the image. Below us is a funtastic bowling facility, Lucky Strike Bowling. This is not your father’s bowling alley. Loud music, dancing lights, projections, and fine food and drink make this a fancy date-night destination….perfect for Hollywood. It’s a bowling night club and just part of what there is to do and see at Hollywood & Highland.
