Valentine’s Day Dining

In a town filled with hot tables, the competition for dining reservations on Valentine’s Day hits fever pitch. So, which newcomers will be the hot picks for Feb. 14? Vu, with its expansive marina views and ambitious, molecular gastronomy-influenced menu, should be a popular choice for Westsiders. While there’s no ocean view at Paul Shoemaker’s acclaimed Savory, the wild landscape of Malibu and refined, French-tinged American fare inspire romance. Dining is definitely high up on the top of things to do in Los Angeles after our LA Tours! Hipper diners might head to Cleo  for wood-burned flatbreads and Mediterranean small plates. Its velvet upholstery, Oriental rugs, dark woods and black-and-white wall murals create a seductive atmosphere. Scott Conant’s latest iteration of Scarpetta at the Montage Beverly Hills is a surefire V-Day hit with its earthy Italian menu. Don’t miss the creamy polenta with fricassee of truffled mushrooms.
