Mezze Mediterranean Fare
Mezze brings a rustic culinary ambience to West Hollywood, serving a contemporary take on Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare. “Cuisine from this region has been considered the benchmark of human vitality for centuries,” says Mezze’s chef Micah Wexler, formerly of Craft and L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon. The seasonal menu focuses on small plates, including dishes like veal manti with almond milk and black lime, and yellowtail crudo with toasted pine nuts and pomegranate gremolata. I’ve been in the mood for some Mediterranean food, so I thought I ‘d share my findings, head on by after your LA tour for a traditional experience. Other menu highlights include wood-oven farm chicken with zatar and natural jus, merguez with tomato jam and Aleppo pepper flatbread, and side dishes such as baby artichokes with honey lebne. The restaurant’s décor features hand-painted Moroccan tiles, amber Venetian plaster walls and ceilings that give way to oversize skylights; an open kitchen showcases a wood-burning oven.
