Walt’s Barn — All Aboard the Disney Train
No matter what tour of Los Angeles you take you will never explore this amazing location. Los Angelenos, even Disney aficionados, have no idea of this lovely treasure safely secured on the northern edge of Griffith Park. Originally constructed in the back of Walt Disney’s Holmby Hills home so he could monitor the movement of trains on his 2,600 foot miniature railroad, the barn was saved by his daughter after Walt’s death and moved to Griffith Park. Managed by the Carolwood Pacific Historical Society the barn is open free to public the third Sunday of each month. Take your next opportunity to visit the birthplace of Imagineering at Walt’s Barn (carolwood.com).
