Chado Tea Room – Downtown Los Angeles
Chado, roughly translated, means “The Way of Tea.” One of three Chado Tea Rooms in Los Angeles is located right next to the Japanese American National Museum located in Japan Town, part of downtown Los Angeles. This wonderful restaurant offers an exquisite selection of teas any of which can be served as part of a traditional “tea service” which includes a 3-tiered server with sandwiches, scones and pastries. While the tea room is opposite a Gold Line station just south of Union Station, we usually arrive in our custom black van with our luxury tour guests who are sightseeing in Los Angeles and Hollywood and wish to enjoy an afternoon tea break during their tour. There is also a Chado Tea Room located in Hollywood near the Dolby Theater (a great refreshment stop if you are touring the Walk of Fame or seeing the Cirque du Soleil production of Iris). The third Chado Tea Room is situated in Old Town Pasadena. We recommend visiting any of the three for a refreshing and elegant break for lunch or any time in the afternoon.
