Did You Feel The Earth Move Under Your Feet?
NO, there’s been no earthquake. It’s a fancy Hollywood celebration. Starting the week off for us, we will be making certain our private luxury tour guests enjoying custom sightseeing tours around Los Angeles, Hollywood and Beverly Hills will arrive at our special parking spot on Hollywood Boulevard before 11:30 a.m. today. That’s because Carole King will be honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a star. Her star will be right across the street from the Dolby Theater.
Carole is in town, too, because tomorrow night (Tuesday, December 4th) at the Dolby Theater, she and her friends (including Alicia Keys, Amy Grant, Herb Alpert, John Legend, Katy Perry, Lani Hall, Darlene Love, Jesse McCartney and Vince Gill along with hosts Quincy Jones and Jack Nicholson) will perform and raise money for Paul Newman’s The Painted Turtle Camp.
A little album trivia for King and Hollywood fans: she actually stitched the tapestry that she is holding; her cat’s name is Telemachus; the photo was taken at a home on Wonderland Drive in the Hollywood Hills. We visit the street sometimes, though not this home, on our Dark Side Tour.
