Where Hollywood Pets Rest in Peace
A Different Kind of Cemetery on a Private Custom Tour
Our regular readers know that we often take our private Los Angeles tour guests to visit any of several beautiful, historic and famous memorial parks around Hollywood and Beverly Hills. A little farther away is Calabasas where we occasionally find ourselves with a more adventurous group aboard one of our luxury vehicles. And it is in Calabasas that we can park and walk in a serene and wondrous park that is the final resting place of Los Angeles’ beloved pets, the Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park. Since 1928 these hallowed grounds have brought loving families to spend time with the animals that comforted them in life. The 10-acre park has a wild history and some very interesting residents. Many movie stars and entertainment industry luminaries have interred their sweet pets up here. Among them — Ruldolph Valentino, Charlie Chaplin, Steven Spielberg, Humphrey Bogart, Mae West and Bob Newhart. And not just dogs and cats. Tonto’s horse Trigger and Tawny the Lion (buried with her cat pal) are there, too. This is a unique sightseeing destination for anyone and everyone.
