Extend Your Private Tour to
Long Beach and the Queen Mary
There are more parties, balls and galas in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve than you can even read about on a website or in a newspaper or magazine. We Angelenos party well and what better occasion to celebrate than the start of a new year! For weeks now our private Los Angeles tour guides and office staff have been queried by our guests about where to head for a great New Year’s party. Each Elite Adventure Tours person has a different idea but we all agree that if you have never been on the Queen Mary then that is where to head. The Queen Mary Auld Lang Shine theme this year is to create on the ship seven of the destinations visited by the ocean liner in 1966: Cannes, Cartegena, Mykonos, Alexandria (Egypt), Tangier, Portofino and New York City. A tour of the world in one night. Read more about the party on the Queen Mary website and head over to Long Beach for a night to remember.
Plan a Meal at El Cholo After Your Los Angeles Tour
In 1925, two years after the first restaurant was opened near downtown Los Angeles, a name change gave birth to El Cholo, now a celebrated Mexican food restaurant with three restaurants in the immediate Los Angeles area and three others not very far away. For our private Los Angeles tour guests who may have missed the Cinco de Mayo celebrations and parades over the weekend there is still time to drink a tequila toast to the brave Mexican soldiers and citizens who on May 5, 1862 defeated a much larger and better equipped French army at the Battle of Puebla. Music, dancing, song and poetry along with parades, colorful costumes and speeches eventually lead everyone to a fine meal. There is no better place to receive that fine meal than one of the superb El Cholo restaurants in Los Angeles.
Alpine Village is an Authentic Private Tour Stop
This is the last weekend of Oktoberfest and a chance to enjoy some genuine German beer and food served by laughing maidens able to carry ten steins at a time. Don’t try that at home. These are professionals. For 64 years now this Torrance attraction has been treating southern Californians to the traditions of the old country with food, drink, music and entertainment that makes them one of the most highly regarded Oktoberfest celebrations in the U.S. (so says USA Today). Wear your lederhosen and leather jerkins and knit socks and arrive hungry and thirsty for a lively day and evening of harvest season celebration only a few miles from the white sand beaches and blue Pacific waters of Los Angeles. There are many more private Los Angeles tour choices than just Hollywood and celebrity homes in Beverly Hills. We know of all the festivities and celebrations and special events happening in and around Los Angeles and can show you so much more about this great city than just movie studios and stars’ homes. Eins, zwei, g’suffa!
Private Downtown Los Angeles Tour Wishes the Facility Happy Birthday
We were there a few days early when we photographed our luxury Los Angeles tour guests in front of the Disney Concert Hall for their tour photo album. However, we know all about the big celebration planned this Saturday from 10:30am – 2:30pm. Music, of course, will be everywhere. Also expect to dance (and learn some new steps), sing, enjoy a brand new “party” experience called Mp3 and eat well from the many food trucks that will be serving the crowd. An anniversary cupcake will be presented to everyone as part of the day. The Frank Gehry-designed building stands out at the Los Angeles Music Center downtown from the street and from the air when we fly over on one of our frequent helicopter tours of Los Angeles.
