Fender Factory Tour on a Los Angeles Tour
Great guitars are not born in stores even though a visit to the Hollywood Guitar Center and its Rockwalk might leave one to think that. Artisans and craftsmen create musical instruments by design and inspiration in factories around the world. One of the foremost facilities for the creation of these rock music wonders is the Fender guitar factory in Corona, CA, just a hop, skip and a jump from Los Angeles, a rock ‘n roll capital of the world. So often our private Los Angeles tour guests are interested solely in the L.A. music scene – clubs, recording studios, music stores, bars and hangouts, celebrity homes – and we take them from downtown to Santa Monica to faithfully describe the history and personality of music coming from Los Angeles. If they are truly interested in the nuts and bolts of rock music then we can suggest a trip southeast of the city to visit the birthplace of so many famous electric guitars that the factory tour guide cannot keep them all in mind. And, if you want a custom made guitar, just ask Eddie Van Halen where to go for that.
Let Your Tour Guide Show You Citywalk at Universal
A 19-screen movie theater (including a giant IMAX auditorium which is the best place to see Gravity in 3D), 14 restaurants (Hard Rock Cafe and Wolfgang Puck’s Bistro are there) plus a good number of snackeries and cafés, all kinds of stores, and then there are bars and nightclubs (Howl at the Moon a favorite of ours) from comedy to jazz – Citywalk is really an entertainment and shopping mecca for everyone to enjoy. It is not just for visitors after a custom luxury tour of Los Angeles and Hollywood and it’s not just for evening. Every day. All day. Include a visit during your tour or spend time for dinner and a movie or live music. Enjoy it all.
Private Los Angeles Night Tour at Citywalk
Los Angeles may not be known as the City of Lights but it certainly competes with Paris in that regard. A good example of some of the nighttime photography we do on a private Hollywood tour after sunset is this image of the tribute to rock ‘n roll in front of the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Citywalk. An homage to Eddie Van Halen’s Frankenstrat this giant illuminated artwork brings the milling crowds to where the music can be heard (and the food is served). There is much to see and do at Citywalk all year long but warm summer nights are the best time to enjoy all it has to offer.
