A Very Personalized Private Tour
When our guest, Elvis Langevin of Montreal, joined us recently for a custom Los Angeles tour we were not at all surprised to find out he was a big Elvis Presley fan. We were not only pleased to show him around Los Angeles but to make his tour experience a tribute to his namesake. That meant taking our Elvis by Radio Recorders on Santa Monica where Elvis Presley recorded in 1957; CBS Television City where he was filmed for two segments of the Ed Sullivan Show (hosted by Charles Laughton because Ed had been injured in a car accident); the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Knickerbocker where he made temporary homes while filming; and several of his Beverly Hills and Bel Air homes. As you see above, we had to pay tribute to Elvis Presley’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in it special location on the seldom visited traffic island, the Gateway to the Walk of Fame, where Hollywood Boulevard intersects La Brea. And, wouldn’t you know it, walking down Hollywood Boulevard there was Elvis Presley enjoying a coffee break with a couple of his pals.
