Extend Your Catalina Island Tour for the Jazz Festival
Starting this weekend and for two weekends after that, 12 days in all, the 27th Annual Catalina Island Jazztrax Festival will feature 30 wonderful jazz musicians who will perform Thursdays at the Descanso Beach Club and Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Avalon Casino Ballroom. Music to groove by 26 miles off the coast of Los Angeles in what has been voted before the Best Jazz Festival in America. We know about music lovers from our years providing private luxury tours of Hollywood, Beverly Hills and all around Los Angeles. We design custom tours of Los Angeles featuring historic music destinations and sights relevant to current music industry activities. We expect guests to be in Los Angeles specifically for the JazzTrax Festival. The ferry boats will be running late and on strict schedules but our helicopters and yachts will leave the island when our guests are ready to go. We will make all the arrangements for our guests so that only have to sit back and enjoy the shows.
Why a Private Tour in Calabasas
We’ve written here about Dash and the Los Angeles Memorial Pet Cemetery and now we want to get you to Calabasas for the 7th Annual Calabasas Malibu Wine & Food Festival. Set aside either Friday June 21st or Saturday June 22nd for a very special evening. Held atop the Mercedes-Benz dealership you will enjoy the opportunity to drink local wine, beer and spirits as well as taste local food from dozens of participating wineries, breweries and restaurants. Too many fine businesses to list here so click this link to see for yourself all the fine choices and samples you will have available on either of the two evenings of the festival.
Visitors asking us for suggestions for their private Los Angeles tour will certainly hear us suggest heading up to Calabasas, perhaps exploring a Malibu canyon road and Mulholland Drive, and arriving at the festival in time for dinner.
Take a Private Los Angeles Tour to Pasadena
Do you love books? Authors, writing, performance, being outdoors on a nice Pasadena day? Then you do not want to miss the second annual LitFest Pasadena arriving on Saturday, May 11th beginning at 10:00 a.m. Unlike the humongous nearby book festivals that Los Angeles is famous for, this one is intimate and manageable and offers literary and imaginative attractions for your entire family. You can talk easily to local authors, see any and all panels and workshops, get your gourmet lunch and snacks quickly and easily, know the kids will be entertained and excited and it is easy to get there and park. Of course there will be publishers and booksellers manning booths of books but there will also be plenty of booksignings with authors. It is the day before Mothers Day so here is your chance to pick up the perfect reading material for mom. Expect music, theater and marionettes to compel your attention, too! We will making a stop there for our more literary-minded guests on their private Los Angeles tour. There is as much to see and do in Pasadena as Beverly Hills and Hollywood for those inclined to think beyond the Kardashians and Honey Boo-Boo.
Classic Hollywood Films with Your Private Hollywood Tour
With too many special guests to list here, the TCM (Turner Classic Movies) Classic Film Festival once again inhabits Hollywood for four days (April 25-28th) with an extensive slate of excellent classic movies showing in the great Hollywood movie theaters. This fourth TCM Classic Film Festival’s theme is “Travel in the Movies” and the selection of films will highlight the magic of movies to transport us to faraway and exotic places. The African Queen, Badlands, Deliverance, Flying Down to Rio, From Russian with Love, and The Great Escape are some of the films to be screened. And remember, we are talking perfectly preserved and restored prints shown on the best movie screens Hollywood has to offer. If any of the offered films are movies you want to see then know you will see them as the filmmakers intended, in comfort and luxury as if you were on a private Los Angeles tour with us!
Bacon is a vegetable, right? Anyone can eat all they want. It’s good for you. If you are not sure of this then we strongly suggest you stop by the Petersen Auto Museum tomorrow (Saturday) between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. to sample sweet and savory dishes arising from the cultivation of bacon. Learn of its health benefits and preparation. We are certain you will be enlightened and delighted. We will bring by our guests out on a private Hollywood tour in our custom black van. I’m sure we can just roll down the windows and sniff our way to the museum on the way back from Beverly Hills along Wilshire Boulevard.
