Our Private Tour Guests Love L.A. Live
Some of our Los Angeles private tour guests even stay here in the heart of downtown Los Angeles (DTLA). L.A. Live is more than a slick name and logo it is a considerable force in the renewed life of a once failing downtown core. Grand hotels (including the Ritz-Carlton), movie theaters, the Microsoft Theater for live performance and many of the award shows seen by millions on television, the Staples Center which is home to four professional sports teams (Lakers, Clippers, Kings and Sparks) as well as a regular concert venue for mega stars (Selena Gomez and Carrie Underwood coming up later this year), the Grammy Museum for lovers of all kinds of music and the L.A. Convention Center all are part of this redeveloped quarter at the southern end of downtown. We can easily spend a half of a tour day exploring and enjoying what L.A. Live has to offer. We also like to show our guests the historic parts of town, too. Old Broadway (undergoing its own renaissance right now as former movie palaces become entertainment showcases once again), the great downtown library, Pershing Square and the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, the former banking zone now an arts district of creatively reused office and business space, Chinatown with its important contributions to the history of Los Angeles and the birthplace of Los Angeles, Olvera Street – all of these sights and destinations and many more can impress any visitor to Los Angeles easily as much as Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the neighborhoods where we showcase celebrity homes and hangouts. Just so you know, this is a photo taken from a tour helicopter as we came through downtown and will be a part of the tour photo album our guests will have by the end of the day.
An Early Morning Private Tour of Los Angeles
Enjoys L.A. Live
It was important for our private Los Angeles tour guests to be the first ones to enter the Grammy Museum and see the Taylor Swift Experience exhibit so we made that happen for them. The museum is part of a complex of hotels (the J.W. Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton), restaurants, movie theaters and a spectacular auditorium, the Microsoft Theater, where award shows have been staged for the world to see. Right across the street is the Staples Center, home to four professional sports franchises (Lakers, Clippers, Kings and Sparks) and the Los Angeles Convention Center. There is much happening around here all the time except for early in the morning. Downtown Los Angeles continues its renaissance and the southern part of the city’s redevelopment is anchored by activities at L.A. Live. Do not miss any opportunity to visit this energetic and exciting part of the city. We are here all the time on our custom luxury tours because so many of our guests are staying at these two fabulous hotels. We can begin our tours just by walking out of the lobby.
L.A. Live is the Place for
Our Private Tour Guests
NBA fans in southern California, or with connections here, or just basketball lovers who also want a vacation in paradise, are here in Los Angeles to enjoy the playoffs and watch the L.A. Clippers at the Staples Center. We will be embarking on many a private Los Angeles tour from the Ritz-Carlton and J.W. Marriott nearby. This whole area of downtown Los Angeles is known as L.A. Live and offers, besides professional sports and luxury accommodations, restaurants, movie theaters, the Grammy Museum, the Nokia Theater and the Los Angeles Convention Center. Lots to do. Lots to see. We can create an entire day custom luxury tour of just downtown Los Angeles for urban anthropologists interested in learning the history and future of Los Angeles. Art and architecture, popular and ethnic culture, our city’s history and development are all centered in this densely populated point in the middle of the 500 square miles designated as the City of Los Angeles. We can also venture west to visit Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Our helicopter tour gives our guests a good look at this part of the city. Who knew there were so many parking spaces in the middle of downtown Los Angeles? With us parking is not a problem.
A Downtown Los Angeles Tour Gets to the Staples Center
Fall and winter sports are underway and this clear aerial photograph from one of our private helicopter tours of Los Angeles shows the downtown area named L.A. Live. Foremost is the Staples Center where the Lakers and the Clippers play basketball and the L.A. Kings play hockey through spring. That’s a lot of locker room sharing and floor changing for the teams and staff of the arena but each team is doing well and brings fans to downtown Los Angeles most evenings of the week. The photograph also shows the J.W. Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels and the Nokia Theater and Grammy Museum. Sports and entertainment is what this part of town is all about. Very nearby is USC for college basketball and football fans. We should point out that dining is also a popular sporting and entertainment activity and that this neighborhood offers plenty of venues to pursue good eating.
Fly and Drive Your Los Angeles Private Tour
Cooler weather and clearer skies are coming which means our aerial tours of Los Angeles will allow our guests to see the entire 500 square miles of the city and much of the 5,000 square miles of Los Angeles county. We offer departures from a skyscraper helipad downtown which is how this photograph was taken earlier this year when snow capped the local mountains. These are postcard photographs of the city that need no retouching. The L.A. Convention Center, Staples Center, the Nokia Theater, the beautiful Ritz-Carlton and J.W. Marriott hotels all make up what is called L.A. Live, a central hub of entertainment and hospitality activity just south of the downtown business district. We often find ourselves here with our guests dining at the Original Pantry or visiting the Grammy Museum. Our aerial tours can be taken in combination with a luxury custom ground tour in our luxury vans which gives our guests a thorough examination of Los Angeles including Hollywood and Beverly Hills.
