So Many of Our Los Angeles Tour Guests
Love Star Trek
This has been a sad week as we learned of the passing of the beautiful Grace Lee Whitney who played Yeoman Janice Rand on the original Star Trek and appeared in later Star Trek features and shows. She had a full actor’s life but will always be remembered as the heartthrob she was for so many fans of the original Star Trek series. She was a potential love interest and romantic complication for Captain Kirk which may have been the reason for her leaving the show after only eight episodes. Our private Los Angeles tour guide, Paul, offered us these photos from his large collection of memorabilia from his days working on the Paramount Studios lot, the home of Star Trek. Paul, and others of our staff, worked at the studio during Next Generation and Voyager days so we have a great fondness for Paramount and its productions. After joining Klingons and Ferengi regularly in the cafeteria lunch line who wouldn’t be a fan of Star Trek? We are not surprised by the number of requests we get from our guests to visit Paramount and other Hollywood locations associated with Star Trek. Paul has an entire Star Trek custom tour all ready to go.
Our Private Tour Guests Would Apply, Too
Once again Elite Adventure Tours fans out there in Internet world come through with a really interesting vintage photograph taken in 1925. These beautiful ladies are applicants at the Paramount Motion Picture School. Our crack researchers back in the office went to work to find out more about this school, the photograph, whatever could be found out. Nada! Zilch! Nothing at all! We still wanted to post the photo because our readers love when we step back into the past in this blog which is about all we do when we are with our guests on a private Los Angeles tour. We have good contacts at Paramount Studios in Hollywood and we will look to find out more in the future. Please contact us if you have any information about this photo or the Paramount Motion Picture School. Were they wanting to be become cinematographers, do you think? Producers? Famous actresses? What’s with the knee highs?
