Celebrity Car Sighting for Our Private Tour Guests
No guessing was involved this day as we encountered the “Hefmobile” leaving the Playboy Mansion. 1 HEF reads the license plate and the address is well known to us who pass through this part of Holmby Hills regularly to talk about the subdivision of the old Holmby ranch into estates that were occupied by movie stars and film industry luminaries from the past and are still today the showcase homes of Los Angeles. The Playboy Mansion, Hugh Hefner‘s home since 1971, continues to host talked about celebrity parties and events. We guide our private Los Angeles tour guests past the gates on the way to the Los Angeles Country Club and often fly over on a luxury helicopter tour of the city. Holmby Hills is adjacent to Beverly Hills and Bel Air, all extravagant neighborhoods of large homes and impressive landscaping and wonderful areas for a celebrity homes tour.
Like Moses parting the Red Sea a beautiful woman can get the gates to the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills to swing wide open. It is a beautiful summer day as we pass by with our guests who are enjoying a private, custom luxury tour of Los Angeles. We had already taken them up to the Hollywood sign (up to the sign!) and walked them along the Walk of Fame. Then we traveled through West Hollywood on the Sunset Strip and into Beverly Hills. Just past all the magnificent mansions full of Hollywood celebrity history is the rolling enclave known as Holmby Hills. That’s where Hugh Hefner created his palatial headquarters back in 1971 after having purchased the 1927 Arthur Kelly-designed gothic-tudor mansion. Oh, the stories that could be told.
The Hollywood Bowl is a regular stop for our private luxury tours of Los Angeles because it is such an amazing site and is so accessible. However, during the weekend of June 16-17 it will not be so accessible as great jazz artists from around the world will be entertaining music enthusiasts all day, both days. Imagine an opportunity to see these musicians all in one place over a beautiful, warm, sunny Los Angeles weekend:
Christian McBride Big Band · Boney James · Ozomatli · Sheila E. · Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings · The Soul Rebels · Global Gumbo All Stars · Cos of Good Music · Louie Cruz Beltran · The LAUSD/Beyond the Bell All City Jazz Band · Ramsey Lewis Electric Band · Robin Thicke · Preservation Hall Jazz Band · Keb’ Mo’ · Terri Lyne Carrington’s Mosaic Project · The Cookers · Spectrum Road · Chico Trujillo · KG Omulo · Calabasas High School Jazz Band
And, of course, there will be Master of Ceremonies Bill Cosby keeping the mood lighthearted and the spirit high. Join in the fun and music. Get your tickets now and bring a picnic and wine to the 2012 Playboy Jazz Festival.
