Spring Break for Skateboarders on Private Tour of the Beach
Los Angeles is a capitol of outdoor recreation. We have it all. You name it and we can arrange it for a part of your private Los Angeles tour. Skiing, surfing, horse riding, motorcycle riding, hiking, sailing, scuba, snorkeling, parachuting, bicycling and skating….inline and skateboarding. A much loved destination for us during the summer months and also during Spring Break (which is coming right up) is the Venice Skate Park on Venice Beach. Our custom tour guests are welcome to bring along their own skates and try out this well designed and highly favored bowl and street facility. A description from the Los Angeles Park Service reads, in part:
“The park is complete with plenty of smooth banks to gain a ton of speed in the flow bowl. There is also a large pool that we would not recommend for beginners but is a popular spot for the qualified vert riders. The street skaters love Venice too, there is a large street section with stair sets, ledges, rails, and boxes. Size: 16,000 sq.ft.”
We are not skaters ourselves so are not exactly sure what this means. However, our skating enthusiasts sightseeing with us do get the idea and take to the facility like seals to the bay (very nearby).
The Venice Skatepark Thrills Our Tour Guests
With 16,000 square feet of slides, tubes and a grand pool, Xtreme skateboarders and wannabees can crank themselves up for some tubular moving here in Venice Beach. Vert riders are challenged as well as the street skaters who will find stair sets and rails, ledges and boxes. The crowds, including our private Los Angeles tour families, will stand by to applaud, oooh and ahhhh and squirm as the boarders make their moves and experience the occasional gnarly faceplant. The skatepark is situated between the boardwalk (food and drink) and the beach (sun, sand and surf) and is part of what is best about Venice Beach – always something to do and people to watch. Feel free to bring your board along on a custom tour with us and we will carve out some time for you do your thing.
Our Helicopter Tour Guests Really See the Venice Beach Skatepark.
Walking the Venice Boardwalk you can easily overlook that grand attraction that is the Venice Beach Skatepark. Almost 20,000 square feet of pipes, pools and street features makes this free skate park a destination for world class skaters. From the air over Venice Beach on a private Los Angeles tour in our luxury helicopter you cannot miss the sizeable skatepark. Knowing it is there means when we double back on the ground portion of our combination air + ground tour we have guests eager to take up a viewing position to see the aerial splendor of these roller athletes.
Several of our private luxury tour guests have already taken advantage of the opportunity to ice skate in Beverly Hills…outdoors. The city has erected a genuine ice rink outside City Hall on N. Crescent Drive that will operate through January 6th. One hour sessions are available each day throughout the day for anyone interested. When you get done with your sightseeing around Los Angeles and Hollywood then grab your blades (or rent when you get there) and enjoy a completely different thing to do in Beverly Hills.
